Data mining was accomplished by integrating Apache's Lucene text search engine, Real time information like today's most popular movie titles puts great suggestions on what to watch, right at user's finger tips.

Through Cinekin's partnership with Amazon, we were able to connect cool Javascript pop-ups that give users more info about the movie and let them either buy the DVD or watch the film through Amazon's Unbox video on demand service.

Populating the movies database was done by creating crawling systems that monitor RSS feeds, and content on a large number of sites and services.

Planned enhancements include movie message boards, new partnerships allowing members to rent DVDs and purchase tickets for movies currently in theaters, as well as innovative ways to take the guesswork out of finding a good movie for any occasion.
